FILM FEST : LOVELY PROFESSIONAL UNIVERSITY

The film festival organised by the Bioscope Global Film Festival at Lovely Professional Universityhas got enormous response from the audience on the third day today.

It was not only students who watched the films today but outsiders, who managed to obtain free passes after registering online, were also came in large numbers to watch the flicks.
Speaking to Jalandhar Tribune, Alok Bharadwaj from the BGFF, said some of the shows remained fully jam-packed. People were basically interested in watching films of other languages and those films that were difficult to watch otherwise. Around 19 films, including the Hungarian film, ‘Liza, The Fox-Fairy’, were shown today.
Films like ‘Alif’, ‘Western Ghat’ and ‘Song of The River’ remained the centre of attraction.
Speaking to Jalandhar Tribune, Zaigham Imam, director of ‘Alif’, said his film was a part of the competition.
“It is about Muslim kids, who get education in Madrasa. In this narrative, a father wants his kid to be a doctor. He gets him admitted to a proper school instead of a Madrasa, which is opposed by the Muslim community,” he said.
He said interaction with the audience was followed by the screening of the film.
