- Antara-a unique studio conducts classes in all national
& international dance forms for all age group students
Jalandhar: Providing the largest platform to the growing
and hitherto hidden Indian talent, Lovely Professional University (LPU) hosted
4th Annual Celebrations of Antara Dance Studio (Jalandhar) at its Shanti Devi
Mittal Auditorium. Upholding the theme “the Dream Catchers”, 100 artists of all
age group presented enthralling performances for the onlookers, performers’
parents and special invitees. The celebrations were declared open by LPU Pro
Chancellor Mrs Rashmi Mittal, who also commended efforts made at the studio for
nurturing the young talent. On this occasion, Smt Madhu Mittal of Lovely Group
was specially invited to grace the celebrative and award distributing
ceremonies.
During three-hour different performances,
studio’s students presented all dance forms from classical, semi- classical,
folk, bollywood to Latin, French & English. Little kids’ incredible
energetic performances were applauded the most. Commencing performances with
semi- classical ‘Guru Vandana’, the each and every student of the studio danced
like a star to further present Krishna-stuti, Kathak Thumri, Salsa, Belly,
Malhari and folk dances including Kashmiri, Punjabi, Haryanvi, Tamil, Marathi
and more. In between the dance performances, promising students,
supporters and mentors were also awarded.
During award ceremony, first trainer at the
studio Aditi Mittal and other trainers Anu Sharma, Deepak, Ameenah, LPU Ph.D
student Ms Shweta & Prabhjot Kaur were specially honoured. For different
performances, Laboni was declared the best passionate dancer, and Gloria
Lokhande as versatile dancer. Dr Sunidha, Pariyaz, Gurnoor & Ms Suman were
awarded for best expressions & foot-works, and similarly many others in
different categories. Ms Bhakti Sanghavi, who specially came from
Bangalore to witness the annual celebrations, expressed that the show provided
its students a great chance to chase their dreams in the realm of dances. Illustrative, Antara-a unique studio in Jalandhar, conducts training classes in all national & international dance forms for its all age group students. The Director of the studio, Mrs Nidhi Mittal thanked LPU management for providing a great stage to the budding artists of India, who are getting training at the studio. Motivational speaker from Bangalore, Ms Leena Munot conducted the programme.
